Description of service provided:

The South Gloucestershire Deaf Association's mission is to be recognised as the first point of contact for Access to Services, Support, Information and Assistance provided by South Gloucestershire Council and other providers for all Deaf or hard of hearing people residing within the boundary of South Gloucestershire.
A person with sign ability from Community Care and Housing will be at Frome House to assist with enquiries on equipment between 9am – 12noon each Thursday. A large selection of equipment will be on display to test and try. South Gloucestershire Deaf Association do not supply equipment but will refer individuals directly to Community Care and Housing for assistance.

Welfare Benefit and Pension surgeries will be hosted at Frome House on the last Friday in every month between 10am – 1pm. An Interpreter will be present to assist with communication. Welfare Benefit Form filling, Welfare Benefit entitlement checks and support with contacting relevant agencies in association with Welfare Benefit enquiries will be available during these sessions.

A newsletter is published on a quarterly basis. If you wish to receive this publication please contact South Gloucestershire Deaf Association.
